YEAR-ROUND TRAINING PROGRAM

Our programs are designed to provide a comprehensive training experience for athletes of all levels. Our sessions include a variety of training activities, including sprint and hurdle drills, plyometrics, strength training, and technique instruction. Our experienced coaching staff will work with our athletes to develop their skills in their specific events, while also emphasizing overall fitness and conditioning. SUMMER SESSIONS

The summer session at Orange Crush Track Club is designed to help you recover from the rigors of the spring competition season and build a solid foundation for future success. Our focus is on post-season recovery and base building. We’ll incorporate a variety of activities to achieve this, including:

  • Weight training: This will improve your overall strength and muscular conditioning, which helps prevent injuries and allows you to handle higher training loads in the future.
  • Conditioning drills: These drills will enhance your cardiovascular fitness and endurance, creating a strong base for future training.
  • Specialized speed work: We’ll introduce targeted exercises to improve your speed capacity, laying the groundwork for faster times on the track.

FALL SESSIONS

The fall session at Orange Crush Track Club transitions you from summer’s focus on recovery and base building to a pre-preseason training phase. This prepares you for the upcoming California winter competition season. We’ll introduce more track-specific work, including:

  • Pre-season level drills: These drills will hone your running technique and prepare you for the more demanding workouts of the winter season.
  • Conditioning specifically designed for track events: We’ll tailor conditioning exercises to enhance the specific demands of your chosen track event, building the stamina and explosiveness you’ll need to excel.

 

By participating in the fall session, you’ll be laying the groundwork for a successful winter competition season. You’ll enter the winter program with a strong foundation of strength, endurance, and refined running mechanics, putting you in a prime position to achieve your competitive goals.

WINTER SESSIONS

The winter session at Orange Crush Track Club is where we refine your skills and prepare you to dominate the upcoming competition season. Our focus here is on pre-season refinement. We’ll significantly increase the intensity of your on-track training, with a strong emphasis on perfecting the mechanics of key running elements:

  • Block starts: We’ll help you explode out of the starting blocks with explosive power and perfect form.
  • Drive phase: Master the powerful initial push-off that propels you forward.
  • Transitions: Learn seamless transitions between acceleration phases for maximum efficiency.
  • Full-speed sprinting: Develop explosive speed and maintain perfect form at top velocity.
